Why did you become a Peer Health Educator Intern (PHEI)?

Upon doing research into what I could do to delve deeper into my interest in health education, I discovered SHEP and all the wonderful activities they provided UCLA students. Being a PHEI aligns with my career interests in public health, but also my deep-rooted desire to make an impact in regards to the wellbeing of UCLA at large. I am excited to facilitate PHEI-led events and help out fellow students improve their wellbeing and learn valuable skills and information to use on or off campus. I’m eager to gain more knowledge regarding public health and implement that knowledge in my daily life.
